Anika Noni is an American performer and singer. She is best known for her vocalist of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney Princess. Disney Legends identified her one of the 2011 Disney Legends. Rose appeared in Lorrell Robinson, the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born June 6, 1972) is an American actress and singer. Her most well-known role is that of Tiana the first Disney African American princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). She's also known for performing in theatre, specifically in the role of Emmie Thibodeaux and Emmie Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performer in a Musical was given to her and Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Musical was nominated for her.
